Rankify analyses web pages that you choose to audit. The results are stored on your own computer. There is no Rankify server, no account, no analytics, and no tracking. We cannot see your audits, because they are never sent to us.

What Rankify does
When you click the Rankify icon on a page, or add addresses to a Bulk Audit, the extension reads that page and runs 58 checks across three areas: traditional search visibility (SEO), generative engine visibility (GEO), and answer engine readiness (AEO). It then produces scores, a report, and a list of suggested fixes.
All analysis happens inside your browser. The scoring logic ships as part of the extension and runs locally.
What data is involved
Rankify handles two categories of data, both of which are declared in our Chrome Web Store listing.
Website content
To audit a page, Rankify reads its content: the title, meta tags, headings, visible text, links, image filenames and alt text, and any structured data. Portions of this are saved with the audit result as evidence, so the report can quote your page back to you and show exactly what failed rather than only giving you a number.
Web history
When you audit a page, Rankify saves its address, page title, scores and the time of the audit, so that History can group your audits by site, let you search them, and show you whether a page has improved since last time.
Both are stored only on your device. Neither is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Where it is stored
Rankify uses chrome.storage.local, Chrome's local storage area on your own machine. It stores:
- Audit results, including scores, individual check outcomes, and the evidence quoted from the page
- An index of past audits so History can group and search them
- Your settings and preferences
- Bulk audit queue state, so an interrupted run can resume
This data never leaves your computer. It is not uploaded, not synced to a Google account, and not backed up to any server. If you use Chrome on two machines, audits saved on one are not visible on the other.
Rankify does not use cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage.
What leaves your browser
Rankify has no server of its own and sends nothing to us. There are three narrow cases where a network request happens at all, and it is worth being precise about them.
To finish an audit, Rankify asks the site you chose a few direct questions:
- It reads
/robots.txtand/llms.txtfrom that site, to determine which AI crawlers are permitted - It makes a HEAD request to the page itself, to read response headers such as X-Robots-Tag
- It makes HEAD requests to a sample of up to 10 links on the page, to detect broken links
These requests go only to the domain of the page you asked Rankify to audit. No third party is contacted, and nothing about you is included beyond what any ordinary browser request contains.
The interface uses the Poppins typeface, currently loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. This means Google receives a request, including your IP address, when the Rankify interface is opened. No audit data, page content or personal information is included in that request. Google's handling of it is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
The interface contains links to the developer's website and to Buy Me a Coffee. Nothing is sent unless you click one, and then it is an ordinary page visit like any other.
What Rankify never does
Permissions, and why each one is needed

Keeping and deleting your data
Audits are kept until you delete them. You can remove a single audit, or use Clear All in History to remove everything at once. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage along with it. Because there is no server copy, deletion is immediate and complete.
Children
Rankify is a tool for people who publish web pages. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's behaviour changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the Chrome Web Store listing.
